20 Signs That A Horrific Global Food Crisis Is Coming

I've been studying this for the past couple of years, and am convinced that some hard times are on the horizon.
There are entirely too many things happening in this country and around the world, simultaneously, that are raising the alarm.

To the prudent, I say stock up, as much as you can, on food and staple items-toiletries, things you need and use-and stock up as much as you can.

To the doubters, I say; research this subject, study, and study some more.

T.W.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the preamble to the article;
"...In case you haven't noticed, the world is on the verge of a horrific global food crisis. At some point, this crisis will affect you and your family. It may not be today, and it may not be tomorrow, but it is going to happen. Crazy weather and horrifying natural disasters have played havoc with agricultural production in many areas of the globe over the past couple of years. Meanwhile, the price of oil has begun to skyrocket.
The entire global economy is predicated on the ability to use massive amounts of inexpensive oil to cheaply produce food and other goods and transport them over vast distances. Without cheap oil the whole game changes. Topsoil is being depleted at a staggering rate and key aquifers all over the world are being drained at an alarming pace. Global food prices are already at an all-time high and they continue to move up aggressively. So what is going to happen to our world when hundreds of millions more people cannot afford to feed themselves?
Most Americans are so accustomed to supermarkets that are absolutely packed to the gills with massive amounts of really inexpensive food that they cannot even imagine that life could be any other way. Unfortunately, that era is ending.
There are all kinds of indications that we are now entering a time when there will not be nearly enough food for everyone in the world. As competition for food supplies increases, food prices are going to go up. In fact, at some point they are going to go way up.
Let's look at some of the key reasons why an increasing number of people believe that a massive food crisis is on the horizon.
The following are 20 signs that a horrific global food crisis is coming...."
Michigan Police Search Cell Phones During Traffic Stops with new "extraction devices"
Oh, my.
If this isn't Big Brother in action, I don't know what is.
http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/34/3458.asp
From the article above;
" The Michigan State Police have a high-tech mobile forensics device that can be used to extract information from cell phones belonging to motorists stopped for minor traffic violations. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Michigan last Wednesday demanded that state officials stop stonewalling freedom of information requests for information on the program.
ACLU learned that the police had acquired the cell phone scanning devices and in August 2008 filed an official request for records on the program, including logs of how the devices were used. The state police responded by saying they would provide the information only in return for a payment of $544,680. The ACLU found the charge outrageous.
"Law enforcement officers are known, on occasion, to encourage citizens to cooperate if they have nothing to hide," ACLU staff attorney Mark P. Fancher wrote. "No less should be expected of law enforcement, and the Michigan State Police should be willing to assuage concerns that these powerful extraction devices are being used illegally by honoring our requests for cooperation and disclosure."
A US Department of Justice test of the CelleBrite UFED used by Michigan police found the device could grab all of the photos and video off of an iPhone within one-and-a-half minutes. The device works with 3000 different phone models and can even defeat password protections.
"Complete extraction of existing, hidden, and deleted phone data, including call history, text messages, contacts, images, and geotags," a CelleBrite brochure explains regarding the device's capabilities. "The Physical Analyzer allows visualization of both existing and deleted locations on Google Earth. In addition, location information from GPS devices and image geotags can be mapped on Google Maps."
The ACLU is concerned that these powerful capabilities are being quietly used to bypass Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches....."
( Gee, ya think???? )
Here's another article with more info on the actual device being used;
http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20055431-1.html
Folks, our Constitutional rights are under attack more than ever before.
The audacity of these police to think that they can just ignore our 4th Amendment rights is only a drop in the bucket. There is documented stories (that I have posted on this blog) detailing the use of portable devices that can be used to look inside vehicles and buildings, without the occupants being aware.
Nothing is sacred to the Progressive elite that is in control.
Expect it to get worse.
Isn't this the way the VietNam war started?? Or Bosnia??
The European Union is waiting on UN (read U.S.) approval to send ground troops into Libya on a mission to provide security for the delivery of "aid supplies" to the Libyan rebels.
So, President Obama knows full well that he can't send in any ground troops-it would be political suicide to do so-so the UN decides to do it instead, for "humanitarian reasons"??
Anyone else smell a rat here??
From the article;
"....The armed forces, numbering no more than 1,000, would be deployed to secure the delivery of aid supplies, would not be engaged in a combat role but would be authorised to fight if they or their humanitarian wards were threatened. "It would be to secure sea and land corridors inside the country," said an EU official."
Worst since Pearl Harbor
The US debt crisis is getting worse.
Now the markets are finally paying attention.
Meanwhile, the White House and the Progressives continue pretend that there is some sort of economic "recovery" going on.
It's going to be interesting to see how they spin this.
Stay tuned.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/apr/18/us-economy-credit-rating
From the article above;
"....Shares fell heavily on Wall Street on Monday after a leading ratings agency fanned fears of Europe's debt crisis spreading across the Atlantic by issuing a strong warning about America's failure to tackle its budget deficit.
In a move seen by Wall Street as a "shot across the bows" of bickering politicians in Washington, Standard and Poor's (S&P) said it was cutting the outlook on the US's long-term rating from stable to negative for the first time since the attack on Pearl Harbor 70 years ago.
The announcement surprised the financial markets, where attention in recent months has been focused on the problems of the weaker nations of the eurozone. Renewed speculation that Greece will be forced to default on its debts led to a sharp sell-off in the euro, but S&P stressed that the US was not immune from the sovereign debt crisis.
In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average ended the day down 140 points, or 1.1%, with the dollar weaker on the foreign exchanges and yields rising on US treasury bills. The FTSE 100 in London was down 126 points at 5870 – a drop of more than 2% – as ongoing concerns about the eurozone's debt crisis were compounded by the setback for the world's biggest economy. "
Detroit SWAT forcibly removes child from home because parent wouldn't give un-necessary medication
This is a very twisted story.
A disabled middle school-age girl in Detroit wanted to attend school, so the child's mother took her for the required immunizations. The girl had some reactions to the immunizations, and a very bizzare chain of events occurred.
From the article;
“....She began acting out of character, being irritated, having facial grimaces that have been associated with immunizations,” Maryanne Godboldo sought help from the Children’s Center, an organization claiming to help families with at-risk children.
Godboldo told relatives the medications ordered by the doctor worsened symptoms, including behavioral problems.
When Godboldo refused to give her child the prescribed medication, Child Protective Services became involved. CPS obtained a warrant to remove the girl, but Maryanne reportedly refused to surrender the child to the state...."
That's when Big Brother took over.
Detroit SWAT removes child from home
And according to this article, the child didn't even have an "emergency need" for the medication to begin with.
Child didn't need the medications
What a complete mismanagement of authority.
It is looking more and more like parents' rights are being further and further challenged.
Rep. Allen West; "Iis it open season on a principled black conservative?"
It is no secret to readers of this blog what I think of Rep. Allen West of Florida.
He is an honest, forthright man of strong convictions that says what he means and means what he says.
He is a retired US Army Colonel that put his own career directly in jeopardy-indeed he retired because of the incident-in order to save his men. Afterwards, he was asked if he would act differently if under similar circumstances again, West testified, "If it's about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can."
If I were these fools, I'd leave this particular man alone.
I dearly hope we can talk this man into running for President.
Obama's speech- the lies, innuendo, the manipulation of the facts
Well, "The Speech" that all the Liberal/Progressive media have been championing the past few days turned out to be nothing but the strictly predictable, partisan, dull and overly long diatribe I expected it to be.
This President is bent on the economic destruction of this country, and nothing he has done or said has lessened my viewpoint.
He is anti- business, anti- Capitalist, anti- military, pretty much anti- everything this country was founded upon.
His Socialist/Marxist beliefs are deeply rooted and will never change.
Please read the entire article posted below, and by all means, if you can stay awake, read the speech transcript itself, and form your own opinions.
"....Did someone move the 2012 election to June 1? We ask because President Obama's extraordinary response to Paul Ryan's budget yesterday—with its blistering partisanship and multiple distortions—was the kind Presidents usually outsource to some junior lieutenant. Mr. Obama's fundamentally political document would have been unusual even for a Vice President in the fervor of a campaign.
The immediate political goal was to inoculate the White House from criticism that it is not serious about the fiscal crisis, after ignoring its own deficit commission last year and tossing off a $3.73 trillion budget in February that increased spending amid a record deficit of $1.65 trillion. Mr. Obama was chased to George Washington University yesterday because Mr. Ryan and the Republicans outflanked him on fiscal discipline and are now setting the national political agenda.
Mr. Obama did not deign to propose an alternative to rival Mr. Ryan's plan, even as he categorically rejected all its reform ideas, repeatedly vilifying them as essentially un-American. "Their vision is less about reducing the deficit than it is about changing the basic social compact in America," he said, supposedly pitting "children with autism or Down's syndrome" against "every millionaire and billionaire in our society." The President was not attempting to join the debate Mr. Ryan has started, but to close it off just as it begins and banish House GOP ideas to political Siberia.
Mr. Obama then packaged his poison in the rhetoric of bipartisanship—which "starts," he said, "by being honest about what's causing our deficit." The speech he chose to deliver was dishonest even by modern political standards. "
I admit it's a stretch of the imagination, but I believe we'll be seeing more and more of this type of mumbo-jumbo in the future, as Progressives try to further dehumanize and desensitize citizens.
I myself am well over half Cherokee, and have a strong affinity for the earth and its creatures, but my beliefs are more those of a steward than of an "equal with Mother Earth".
The Constitution Doesn't Mention Czars
Unaccountable White House aides are a product of a broken cabinet-nomination process. This is not the form of government the Founders intended.
From the Article linked below;
"...A pattern of governance has emerged in Washington that departs substantially from that envisaged in our Constitution. Under our basic concept of governance: (1) a president and vice president are elected; and (2) the departments of government are staffed by constitutional officers including secretaries, undersecretaries, assistant secretaries and others who are nominated by the president and confirmed for service by the consent of the Senate. They are publicly accountable and may be called to testify under oath about their activities."
"...The practice of appointing White House "czars" to rule over various issues or regions is not a new invention. But centralized management by the White House staff has been greatly increased in recent years.
Beyond constitutional questions, such White House advisers, counselors, staffers and czars are not accountable. They cannot be called to testify under oath, and when Congress asks them to come, they typically plead executive privilege."
".....the appointment process must be moved back to what it was even as recently as the Reagan administration. The assumption is that honorable people want to serve honorably. Reasonable vetting, such as a review of Internal Revenue Service and Federal Bureau of Investigation records, can be done quickly. A bad apple will surely be discovered and can be discarded."
".....It's imperative that we get back to a constitutional and accountable form of government before confidence in our capacity to govern further erodes."
The Iranian Armageddon
First Tunisia, then Egypt, then the entire Arab world erupted in "Democratic Revolution" that the Western media embraced and shamelessly supported.
The media, and many governments, support the rebellions and advertise the rebels as being regular citizens- 'doctors, lawyers, farmers, dentists', as some news outlets purported.
The truth of the matter is that no one outside Iran really knows for sure exactly who is behind the various revolts. We know for sure that at least some elements of Al Qaeda are involved, as well as Hezbollah (Iran), and the Muslim Brotherhood is out in force.
And now, we are seeing the truwe nature of the 'rebellion'.
Egypy is descending into an Islamic theocracy.
Libya? Well, old Muammar just won't play ball, and that situation is still in doubt.
In any case, this article is extremely thought-provoking.
T.W.
From the Article;
http://www.cnsnews.com/commentary/article/iranian-armageddon#
"....Today, everyone knows the Iran's crazed ayatollahs intend to secure nuclear weapon capability and everyone knows that, when they do, they will attack Israel with them. They have never ceased to call for its destruction. It is not a question of if, but when.
How close is "when"? The Iranians just released a video titled "The Coming is Near" that describes the current events in the Middle East as the prelude to the coming of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi, a figure particular to the Shiite branch of Islam and one that Islamic scriptures say will lead the armies of Islam to victory over all non-Muslims in the last days.
In a nuclear age, as Nikita Krushchev, a former Premier of the Soviet Union, once said, "The living will envy the dead." Those were the days of the Cold War and, with both the U.S. and Russia possessing nukes, the concept of mutually assured destruction, MAD, was understood. This, however, does not apply to the ayatollahs. They need massive destruction to bring about their Islamic End Times scenario.
In a recent Wall Street Journal interview with Bernard Lewis, the West's leading scholar on the Middle East, he pointed out that the mullahs "are religious fanatics with an apocalyptic mindset. In Islam, as in Christianity and Judaism, there is an end-of-times scenario—and they think it's beginning or has already begun."
The result, said Lewis, is that "mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent—it's an inducement." "
American Socialist Leader Calling for Revolution Says ‘We Are Not Pacifists, Violence Sometimes Is Necessary’
So much for the "non-violent" Progressive Left.
The truth is that the Progressives, Socialists, and marxists on the Left are hoping beyond all hope that some event occurs that can be laid at the feet of the Tea Party types.
They mistakenly believe that the Government could exert control by force of arms against the American People.
Far from it.
The pinnacle of incompetence
http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Op-EdContributors/Article.aspx?id=213341
I went back to this March 22 article, and wished to share it with my readers.
I would like to add another name to the list of incompetents;
Barack Hussein Obama--for allowing himself, and his Administration, to be drawn into conflict on the side of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, and Hezbollah.
By doing so, he has strengthened our enemies, and drastically weakened our nation's relationship with Israel.
The Beginning Of Extremist Islamic State: Now the Muslim Brotherhood Is Calling for Egyptian Modesty Police
http://www.jpost.com/MiddleEast/Article.aspx?id=215050
I must point out--many of us who were skeptical (and are even more so now that we are being proven right) of the so-called "Democratic revolution" in so many Islamic countries are being vidicated with the outpouring of news like this.
What thinking person can honestly say that they seriously expected a true democratic process in an Islamic dominated Middle Eastern country in today's global climate?
Radical Islam is on the rise, and will take over in every single one of these countries that fall to revolution.
I am not a fan of Muammar Quaddaffi (Kadafy, Gaddaffi, whatever...geez) nor am I crazy about the monarchies in the Arab nations, but at least Quaddaffi was mostly 'contained' in Libya before tha NATO airstrikes began.
If he remains in power, expect more Lockerbie type events. He no doubt will feel bound to 'repay' those that joined forces against him.
If he doesn't remain in power, then the Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda/Hezbollah will seize power.
The same can be said of the rest of the nations that are currently--or soon will be--experiencing unrest.
This is a no-win situation for us, which we have made worse by taking sides.
I'll say it again;
in the Middle East, better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
Should the US supply arms to the Libyan rebels?
Should the US supply arms to the Libyan rebels?
President Obama and/or Secretary of State Hillary Clinton haven't made up their mind(s).
I say absolutely NOT.
We need to distance ourselves from the internal struggles in these Middle Eastern nations.
Heck, we don't even know how many Al Qaeda/Hezbollah/Muslim Brotherhood fighters are among the rebels in Libya.
The US has a less than stellar record when arming rebels and insurgents.
In the Middle East, it's almost a guarantee to end badly for us.
No matter who ends up in control, it's all but guaranteed they will not be friendly to the US.
The region is dominated by theocratic regimes, despotic dictators, and monarchies.
Hmmmm, which of these is most like the USA?
Exactly zero.
We should observe, very closely, the events taking place, but should remain 100% neutral militarily.
"Freelance Jihadists" join Libyan rebels
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/29/1000-freelance-jihadists-join-libyan-rebels/#
From the article;
"......A former leader of Libya's al Qaeda affiliate says he thinks "freelance jihadists" have joined the rebel forces, as NATO's commander told Congress on Tuesday that intelligence indicates some al Qaeda and Hezbollah terrorists are fighting Col. Moammar Gadhafi's forces.
Former jihadist Noman Benotman, who renounced his al Qaeda affiliation in 2000, said in an interview that he estimates 1,000 jihadists are in Libya.
On Capitol Hill, Adm. James Stavridis, the NATO commander, when asked about the presence of al Qaeda terrorists among the rebels, said the leadership of the opposition is made up of "responsible men and women."
"We have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al Qaeda, Hezbollah," the four-star admiral said. "We've seen different things. But at this point, I don't have detail sufficient to say that there's a significant al Qaeda presence, or any other terrorist presence, in and among these folks."
The military is continuing to "look at that very closely," he said, because "it's part of doing due diligence as we move forward on any kind of relationship" with the opposition.
Outside observers generally estimate the number of trained Libyan fighters to be about 1,000.
Concern over the makeup of opposition forces surfaced Tuesday as representatives from 40 governments and international organizations met in London and stepped up efforts to oust the Gadhafi regime and prepared for a hoped-for transition to a democratic state.
Prominent Obama Advisor advocates US military invasion of Israel and protection of "New State of Palestine"
Well, well.
President Obama's Middle East motives are becoming clearer by the day.
Ms. Power is Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and runs the Office of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights as Senior Director of Multilateral Affairs on the Staff of the National Security Council.
She is also a well-known Israel-hater.
Do your own research on her and her views, please.
I know the interview below is from 2002, but this person is a well-published, Pulitzer Prize winning author whose views on Israel are very well-known.
My sense of all this is that there is something sinister going on here, and I'm afraid to lend voice to it yet.
Oh, another thing.
She is the wife of Cass Sunstein, who is the
Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget (Regulatory Czar for short)
How convenient.
T.W.
A transcript of the above interview is below: (emphasis mine )
INTERVIEWER: "Let me give you a thought experiment here, and it is the following: without addressing the Palestine -- Israel problem, let's say you were an advisor to the President of the United States, how would you respond to current events there? Would you advise him to put a structure in place to monitor that situation, at least if one party or another [starts] looking like they might be moving toward genocide?"
POWER: "What we don't need is some kind of early warning mechanism there, what we need is a willingness to put something on the line in helping the situation. Putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import; it may more crucially mean sacrificing — or investing, I think, more than sacrificing — billions of dollars, not in servicing Israel's military, but actually investing in the new State of Palestine, in investing the billions of dollars it would probably take, also, to support what will have to be a mammoth protection force, not of the old Rwanda kind, but a meaningful military presence
Because it seems to me at this stage (and this is true of actual genocides as well, and not just major human rights abuses, which were seen there), you have to go in as if you're serious, you have to put something on the line. Unfortunately, imposition of a solution on unwilling parties is dreadful. It's a terrible thing to do, it's fundamentally undemocratic. But, sadly, we don't just have a democracy here either, we have a liberal democracy.
There are certain sets of principles that guide our policy, or that are meant to, anyway. It's essential that some set of principles becomes the benchmark, rather than a deference to [leaders] who are fundamentally politically destined to destroy the lives of their own people. And by that I mean what Tom Freidman has called "Sharafat."
I do think in that sense, both political leaders have been dreadfully irresponsible. And, unfortunately, it does require external intervention."
Associated Press "fact check" of Obama Libya speech finds flaws in his "facts"
You know it's bad when even the left-leaning Associated Press broke down the President's speech from Monday night, and found it lacking facts.
Obama has broken his own word, once again.
As a Congressman, and on the campaign trail, he repeatedly railed against President Bush's military actions, but at least those were approved by Congress.
In his own book, "Audacity of Hope", he railed against prior military actions by the United States, saying the country would lack legitimacy if we use our military might "without a well-articulated strategy that the public supports and the world understands. Why invade Iraq and not North Korea or Burma? Why intervene in Bosnia and not Darfur?"
So, Mr. President, I ask;
Why Libya and not Yemen?
Why Libya and not Syria?
My answer is well known to my readers;
We need to stand down, and let these revolutions play themselves out, and only then can we even begin to know who we'll have to deal with.
The Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda are major players in all the countries in which there is currently unrest, and we should not be aiding and supporting either of them with our military, as we most assuredly are in Libya.
Obama: Libya Action has Saved Thousands
( a preview of Obama's upcoming address to the nation on Monday.. )
This is probably true- however it does nothing to explain why the action is in the interests of the United States, nor does it address exactly why we are supporting the same side as Al Qaeda.
It says nothing to address why we have committed military forces in Libya, and not Egypt, Syria, Yemen, etc., that are also suffering at the hands of the government forces in those Arab States.
Even the Secretary of Defense admits it wasn't in our national interest to intervene in Libya.
There are hidden reasons for our military actions, I believe.
Why support the rebels that are known to have Al Qaeda backing?
Why not intervene in the other Arab countries that are in open rebellion?
I say again;
this Administration are either fools, or are complicit in some hidden agenda.
Libya war: Germans pull forces out of NATO as Libyan coalition falls apart
From the Article below;
  • Tensions with Britain as Gates rebukes UK government over suggestion Gaddafi could be assassinated
  • French propose a new political 'committee' to oversee operations
  • Germany pulls equipment out of NATO coalition over disagreement over campaign's direction
  • Italians accuse French of backing NATO in exchange for oil contracts
  • No-fly zone called into question after first wave of strikes 'neutralises' Libyan military machine
  • U.K. ministers say war could last '30 years'
  • Italy to 'take back control' of bases used by allies unless NATO leadership put in charge of the mission
  • Russians tell U.S. to stop bombing in order to protect civilians - calls bombing a 'crusade'
Deep divisions between allied forces currently bombing Libya worsened today as the German military announced it was pulling forces out of NATO over continued disagreement on who will lead the campaign.
A German military spokesman said it was recalling two frigates and AWACS surveillance plane crews from the Mediterranean, after fears they would be drawn into the conflict if NATO takes over control from the U.S.
The infighting comes as a heated meeting of NATO ambassadors yesterday failed to resolve whether the 28-nation alliance should run the operation to enforce a U.N.-mandated no-fly zone, diplomats said.
Yesterday a war of words erupted between the U.S. and Britain after the U.K. government claimed Muammar Gaddafi is a legitimate target for assassination.
U.K. government officials said killing the Libyan leader would be legal if it prevented civilian deaths as laid out in a U.N. resolution.
But U.S. defence secretary Robert Gates hit back at the suggestion, saying it would be 'unwise' to target the Libyan leader adding cryptically that the bombing campaign should stick to the 'U.N. mandate'.
Al Qaida leader voices encouragement to Libyan rebels
Al Qaida is supporting the Libyan rebels. How deep that support goes is up in the air.
Nonetheless, a senior Al Qaida leader is urging the Libyan rebels to continue their fight.
This is exactly why I maintain that the US should stay out of these "revolutions" in the Arab world, and see who takes power when they are done.
We simply do not know who is supporting these rebellions, and certainly have no idea what the power base will look like in the end.
Revealed — The Left’s Economic Terrorism Playbook: The Chase Campaign by a Coalition of Unions, Community Groups, Lawmakers and Students to Take Down US Capitalism and Redistribute Wealth & Power | The Blaze
There is a serious threat to the US economy--the Stock Market, the banking and housing industry--being planned by a group of union activists and so-called 'community organizers'.
It seems that this gentleman, Stephen Lerner, is not only a senior strategist at SEIU, he's also a 'friend of Barry"--has been a visitor to the White House on several occasions.
He is also known to have consulted recently (Dec. 2010) with Elizabeth Warren who is the Assistant to the President and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at the US Treasury. I wonder what that conversation was like....?
This speech, this plan of theirs, represents a "Clear and Present Danger" to the economic stability of the United States.
This man, along with every single one of his co-conspirators, should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of Federal law.
The link below will take you to the audio of this man giving a speech-which details part of the plan to disrupt the economy-to a union group.
Not a Glenn Beck fan??
Here's an analysis of the same information from Business Insider magazine online edition;
Business Insider article
from Business Insider;
".....A former official of one of the country's most-powerful unions, SEIU, has a secret plan to "destabilize" the country.
The plan is designed to destroy JP Morgan, nuke the stock market, and weaken Wall Street's grip on power, thus creating the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.
The former SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, spoke in a closed session at a Pace University forum last weekend."
".....Lerner's plan is to organize a mass, coordinated "strike" on mortgage, student loan, and local government debt payments--thus bringing the banks to the edge of insolvency and forcing them to renegotiate the terms of the loans. This destabilization and turmoil, Lerner hopes, will also crash the stock market, isolating the banking class and allowing for a transfer of power.
Lerner's plan starts by attacking JP Morgan Chase in early May, with demonstrations on Wall Street, protests at the annual shareholder meeting, and then calls for a coordinated mortgage strike.
Lerner also says explicitly that, although the attack will benefit labor unions, it cannot be seen as being organized by them. It must therefore be run by community organizations."
This is as serious a threat as I have heard.
Will the government intervene?
I seriously doubt it.
The man was a senior SEIU official. No one can confirm exactly what his position is these days.
As we all know, Barack Obama has been an SEIU supporter "all my adult life".
Nothing will be done to curtail these plans, at least nothing by the government.
What a mess we have made of the Libya situation........
 This is what happens when;
1. The US allows another nation or organization to take the lead in ANY military action.
2. The US President shows anything but strong, confident leadership in military actions
3. The Progressives resort to force to "solve" a problem we have absolutely no business in poking our noses into.
The French, Germans, and Turkish are already squabbling;
Anti-Libya Alliance fraying at the edges
The Italians are upset with the Alliance;
Italy threatening to remove itself from Alliance
Now there's word that the Arab League itself is critical of the airstrikes;
My friends, this is the mess our President has allowed to happen by letting Hillary Clinton set up her own little war.
I only hope voters remember these events next year, and tell Mr. Obama (and Mrs. Clinton if she throws her pantssuit into the arena) "thanks, but no thanks--been there, done that...."
Obama’s muddled message on the Middle East - The Washington Post
from the article above;
"......To tell you the truth, I don’t know whether it was appropriate for Obama to go through with his trip to South America, but it sure was symbolic. Here was his country entering yet another military operation, and there was the president in Brazil. The contrast was jarring — as if he was quite literally distancing himself from the consequences of his own policy. The man supposed to be the center of it all was on the periphery.
Obama has no stomach for the war in Afghanistan but fights it anyway. The same holds for what remains of our effort in Iraq. Now it is Libya. These missions lack clarity, and the first two were so botched by the previous administration they are beyond salvation. But Libya is — and ought to remain — a humanitarian mission, one that would have been better undertaken sooner rather than later by a unified administration that had a coherent message and was clear on its goals. It could have made an argument for staying out or it could have made a more forceful argument for going in. Instead it made both. Milton Berle now plays the White House."
It seems that even his own Press Corps (the entire 'mainstream media') see the man's indifference.
Party on, Barry...................
President Obama lands in Brazil while conservatives blast trip during chaos in Japan, Libya
President Obama could care less about anything going on in this Country, or the rest of the world, for that matter.
At least, his actions, and lack of words, give that impression.
While our ally, Japan, remains in the largest crisis they've face since the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the President, his family, and a few family friends are on a vacation in Brazil, Chile, and El Salvador.
Since the earthquake and resulting tsunami hit Japan, he has played golf twice, has hosted a White House party, has made a video for ESPN showcasing his personal picks in the NCAA basketball tournaments, and departed on the current vacation.
Meanwhile, the entire Middle east is in chaos, with the results of several rebellions in Arab/Muslim nations in doubt.
Personally, I would rather the US President cast a shadow over the White House lawn than in Rio de Janeiro during a time like this.
The man simply either doesn't care, or is oblivious to current events.
Lawmaker to Union thugs--"Tennessee isn't Wisconsin", as they are forcibly removed by State Troopers in Nashville
Today I am a proud Tennesseean.
See, our state is a "Red State" that up until the past couple years, had been unjustly ruled by a narrowly elected majority of Liberal Democrats that all but ruined this State.
However, Conservatives have made a huge comeback in the past couple of elections, and the current mood at the State Legislature is definitively Conservative.
I heard about the planned demonstration on Chattanooga talk radio on Monday but was unable to get on as a caller. Looks like our folks in Nashville are representing us like we told them to.
T.W.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 This ain't Wisconsin........

Troopers forcibly carried out seven union supporters from the Tennessee's legislative office complex on Tuesday after their protest disrupted a Senate committee hearing.

The disruption occurred after hundreds of labor supporters gathered for a midday protest near the Capitol to denounce a bill to strip teachers of their collective bargaining rights. The seven arrested were among those who stood up during the hearing and began chants about "union busting" by the Legislature.
Most demonstrators left the hearing room after a half-hour, but a small group tried to lock arms to keep from being removed.
Troopers pulled the holdouts out of the room one by one, while lawmakers, lobbyists and other observers looked on. Several fellow protesters shouted: "Shame!"
The protesters, some of whom were dragged to a nearby conference room, were arrested and faced charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Republican Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey of Blountville in a statement said he supports the right to protest and assemble peacefully in Tennessee. But he said the protesters went too far.
"This General Assembly will not be intimidated by nomadic bands of professional agitators on spring break bent on disruption," he said. "We talk through our differences here. Tennessee is not Wisconsin."

Food prices up most since 1974

Sound familiar?

Folks, if the so-called "media" in this country are alarmed about this, you'd better believe it's a real problem.

Many of us have been screaming at the top of our lungs for the past several years that food prices were set to go up, due to numerous crop failures, diversion of corn for ethanol production, among other factors.

I personally am putting in a backyard garden this spring, and am stockpiling food, shooping sales, discount stores, couponing, anything I can to stock up on as much non-perishable food items as I can. I strongly advise you to research this, formulate a plan, and work your plan.

And the sad part?

Hyperinflation is also ont the horizon, which will cause the price of everything to go up, which will raise food prices even further.

T.W.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Wholesale-prices-up-16-pct-on-apf-3777454020.html?x=0&.v=1
Wholesale prices jumped last month by the most in nearly two years due to higher energy costs and the steepest rise in food prices in 36 years. Excluding those volatile categories, inflation was tame.
The Labor Department said Wednesday that the Producer Price Index rose a seasonally adjusted 1.6 percent in February -- double the 0.8 percent rise in the previous month. Outside of food and energy costs, the core index ticked up 0.2 percent, less than January's 0.5 percent rise.
Food prices soared 3.9 percent last month, the biggest gain since November 1974. Most of that increase was due to a sharp rise in vegetable costs, which increased nearly 50 percent. That was the most in almost a year. Meat and dairy products also rose.
Energy prices rose 3.3 percent last month, led by a 3.7 percent increase in gasoline costs.
Separately, the Commerce Department said home construction plunged to a seasonally adjusted 479,000 homes last month, down 22.5 percent from the previous month. It was lowest level since April 2009, and the second-lowest on records dating back more than a half-century.
The building pace is far below the 1.2 million units a year that economists consider healthy.
There was little sign of inflationary pressures outside of food and energy. Core prices have increased 1.8 percent in the past 12 months.
Still consumers are paying more for the basic necessities.
Gas prices spiked in February and are even higher now. The national average price was $3.56 a gallon Tuesday, up 43 cents, or 13.7 percent, from a month earlier, according to the AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge. Rising demand for oil in fast-growing emerging economies such as China and India has pushed up prices in recent months. Turmoil in Libya, Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries has also sent prices higher.
But economists expect the earthquake in Japan to lower oil prices for the next month or two, which should temper increases in wholesale prices in coming months. Japan is a big oil consumer, and its economy will suffer in the aftermath of the quake. But as the country begins to rebuild later this year, the cost of oil and other raw materials, such as steel and cement, could rise.
Oil prices fell sharply Tuesday as fears about Japan's nuclear crisis intensified. Oil dropped $4.01, or 4 percent, to settle at $97.18 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Food costs, meanwhile, are rising. Bad weather in the past year has damaged crops in Australia, Russia, and South America. Demand for corn for ethanol use has also contributed to the increase.
Prices rose 1 percent for apparel, the most in 21 years. Costs also increased for cars, jewelry, and consumer plastics.
Singer fantasizes about having homosexual TV relationship with 16 year old
As if we need any reminders that this world we are living in has gone to hell in a handbasket, I present to you an article regarding a Television show (which I admit I've never seen).
What appalls me most of all is the total disregard for the theme of the interview-by Jay leno or the show's star- that Elton John, an openly homosexual 63-year old, made a comment that he'd like to be on the show, and "end up in bed" with the 16-year old gay character on the show.
The fact that this is glossed over by Leno and the actress, and the total silence by the "media" in this country-well, it's just a sign of the miserable times in which we live.
T.W.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2011/03/15/elton-john-wants-guest-star-glee-and-sleep-16-year-old-gay-character

63-year-old aging rock star Elton John wants to be a guest star on the hit TV series "Glee" with the storyline that he's the lover of the overbearing coach of the cheerleaders, but he ends up in bed with the show's 16-year-old gay virgin.

This was revealed by the Emmy Award-winning co-star of the program Jane Lynch on Monday's "Tonight Show"

JAY LENO, HOST: Now, I want to, is there any truth that Elton John will be on "Glee," is this true?

JANE LYNCH, "GLEE": I don't know if he'll be on "Glee," but, he loves the show.

LENO: Mm-hmm.

LYNCH: He came up to me at the event and said that he had had lunch with Ryan Murphy, who is the guy who created our show.

LENO: Right.

LYNCH: He's our lord and creator, and…

LENO: Right.

LYNCH: He pitched Ryan some potential storylines that he could be a part of. He said the first thing he said, "What I'd like to do is perhaps be your lover, but I end up in bed with Chris."

[ Laughter ]

LYNCH: Now Chris on the show is sixteen, so that would be jail bait, would it not?

LENO: Yeah. That would be. That would not be. Yeah. That would tend to frown on that.

LYNCH: Yes. But I hope he'll be on the show.

LENO: Well, it sounds like him, because, you know, 'cause he's one of those of those hot and cold.

LYNCH: Yeah.

LENO: "No. Get away." Or, if he came up to you guys with ideas, that means he wants to be on the show.

LYNCH: Well, that would be great. I mean, I think it would be awesome. Wouldn't it?

LENO: That would be cool, yeah.

Yeah, that would be awesome and so cool. Let's get a 63-year-old guy on the show that proposed ending up in bed with one of the lead characters who happens to be a 16-year-old gay virgin.

That would be must-see TV.

But the depravity here on John's part goes even further.

If he actually is a fan of the show, he must know that Kurt, the character Chris Coffer plays, is a totally naive, innocent, sweet kid that has no idea what sex is. That includes homosexual sex.

In last week's episode - full disclosure, I'm a huge fan of the show - we found out that Kurt is so innocent when it comes to sex that his gay bestfriend approached his father to have a pseudo "birds and the bees" discussion with his son.

The friend's fear was that Kurt is so naive and innocent that his first sexual encounter could be with the wrong person for all the wrong reasons, and it could end up being unprotected.

Kurt's father then had a chat with his son - pamphlets and all - until Kurt got so embarrassed by it he excused himself and walked out of the kitchen.

So, yes, let's get 63-year-old Elton John on the show despite his desire to end up in bed with this fictitious child.

By all means.

The New Middle East

Just as I predicted, the radical Islamists are taking advantage of the power vacuum left after the "revolution" that purged Hosni Mubarak's regime in Egypt.

The Progressive Useful Idiots (the lamestream media)-who cheered like drunken sailors at a cathouse while the only semi stable non Israeli Middle Eastern State went down the crapper- are curiously silent on this.

Impression?

It's developing exactly the way they wanted in the first place.

You would have to be completely naive not to know that the radical Islamists were the ones fomenting the 'rebellion" in the first place.

Just like they previously did in Tunisia, and are now doing in Libya, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain--virtually all Arab/Muslim countries are reporting widespread unrest.

The Great Caliphate is almost upon us.

Next?

Perhaps a widespread war between the soon-to-be-formed radically dominated Muslim states to decide who/what nation will lead the Caliphate.

My prediction?

Cleansing of undesirables (disguised as 'unrest') in Iran, with the radical Islamic theocratic regime  there consolidating its power, then exerting their rule over the other countries, who will be weakened from 'revolution'.

One thing for sure;

the Middle East as we have known it will cease to exist very soon.

The form that it takes??

I sincerely hope I am wrong, but I fear I am not.

Ahmadinejad calls for new world order

Just what the world needs- a partnership between the lunatic Ahmadinejad and the country with one of the world's largest military.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/168767.html
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iran and India need to help spread justice in the world as the duo share humane perspectives on international affairs.
"Currently, the formation of a new world order is of prime importance and it is upon the independent countries to prevent the same old oppressive order from insinuating itself into a new form," the website of the Iranian president's office quoted him as saying in a meeting with India's National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon in Tehran on Monday.
Ahmadinejad underlined the role of Iran's and India's cultural background and said the issue of culture will significantly contribute to the new world order.
The Iranian chief executive also called for further cooperation between Tehran and New Delhi.
For his part, the Indian official lauded his country's relations with the Islamic Republic and emphasized India's willingness "to establish all-out strategic relations with Iran."
Iran is India's second-largest oil supplier after Saudi Arabia, with New Delhi importing 12 million barrels of Iranian crude on a monthly basis.
Trade volume between Iran and India reached almost $13 billion in 2007 after business between the two countries jumped by 80 percent.
India imported 21.3 million tons of crude oil from Iran from March 21, 2009 to March 21, 2010.
Saudi Government Says Demonstrations, Marches Prohibited by Kingdom's Laws
Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry said that demonstrations, marches and sit-ins are "strictly" prohibited under the kingdom's laws, the Saudi Press Agency said, citing an unidentified official at the Interior Ministry.
Protests "contradict" Islam and the values of society, the Riyadh-based news service cited the official as saying. They harm public interest, infringe on the rights of others, spread "chaos" and lead to bloodshed, the official said.
Public demonstrations are usually prohibited in Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter and an absolute monarchy ruled by six kings since it was established in 1932. Websites have called for a nationwide "Day of Rage" on March 11 and March 20 in Saudi Arabia, according to Human Rights Watch.
Other Middle Eastern governments have been the target of a wave of protests this year, inspired by the popular uprisings that forced out the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt. In Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, mainly Shiite protesters are demanding free elections and a constitutional monarchy.
Bahrain, like Saudi Arabia, has a Shiite community that complains of discrimination by Sunni rulers. The Saudi Shiites make up about 10 to 15 percent of the population.
Shiite Protests
Shiite Muslims in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia held two demonstrations on March 3 to call for the release of prisoners. About 100 people staged the first protest in the Shiite Muslim village of Awwamiya in the kingdom's Eastern Province.
A similar number of people later demonstrated in the city of Qatif under strong police presence.
A third demonstration, demanding the release of Sheikh Tawfiq al-Amir, was held yesterday in al-Hofuf in the Eastern Province, according to Tawfiq al-Saif, a prominent Shiite activist from the eastern region, and a second activist, who declined to be identified for security reasons. Al-Amir, a Shiite Muslim cleric, was arrested on Feb. 27 after he called for a constitutional monarchy and equal rights, Human Rights Watch said in a statement on its website.
More than 100 activists, writers and academics warned King Abdullah of "the prevalence of corruption and nepotism" and the "widening gap between state and society," according to an e-mailed copy of their petition statement on Feb. 27. They called on the king to move the country towards a constitutional monarch.
Awwamiya, a village north of Qatif on the kingdom's Persian Gulf, was the scene of much larger demonstrations in 2009 after police sought to arrest Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr, who had said in a sermon that Saudi Shiites may be able to seek a state of their own in the future.
The elimination of the US as a major international 'player'.
Most who read my musings understand that I am a Christian, indeed many of my posts reference Biblical Prophecy in relation to current events.
I believe that in order for many of the major 'End Times' Prophecies to be able to come to pass, that the US has to be removed- or at least greatly diminished- as a world power.
Nowhere in the Bible's prohetic books is the United States mentioned as a major player.
Certainly, we won't rise th the direct defense of Israel in the Gog/Magog War of Ezekiel chapter 38-39.
In order for us to be removed from the world scene, major events need to happen.
May of those either already have, or are in the process of developing;
We now have a President that will NOT defend Israel.
(in fact, I believe him to be at the very least a Muslim sympathizer)
We have a starkly divided Congress that will likely remain deadlocked and unable to solve any problems until at least January 2013 (Inauguration Day)
Our Economy is teetering on the brink of collapse.
Our population is steeped in Worldly secularism, more worried about American Idol than the fates of good and decent people.
The entire Middle East is in a near total state of revolution, with the outcomes uncertain.
Soon, the radical elements such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, Iran, and the like, will begin to assert themselves in these fallen Muslim nations.
The chessboard is set.
The pieces are moving into place.
Speak No Evil- Networks Obscure Deadly Extremism of Muslim Brotherhood
ABC, NBC and CBS news programs have mentioned the Muslim Brotherhood 135 times in 17 years, but only linked them to fundamentalist Islam 37 percent of the time. Just since the unrest in Egypt began in January, they've mentioned the Brotherhood 85 times, and decreased how often they report the nature of the group - just 32 percent of those stories mentioned the group's extremism.
Declaring "jihad" against the United States. Taking credit for deadly bombings in Cairo. Sponsoring Hamas. Assassinating Egyptian leaders. Making common cause with Nazi Germany. Openly calling for shariah law. Spawning prominent al-Qaida leaders.
Only the liberal network news media could paint a group with a resume like that as "peaceful" and "moderate." But that's precisely how the broadcast networks have often portrayed the Muslim Brotherhood.
For more than 17 years, since the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, the news programming on ABC, CBS, and NBC have treated the Muslim Brotherhood with kid gloves, giving the radical Islamic group a passing mention here or there, but hardly ever exploring on air its fundamentalist religious connections and extreme ideology. Instead the Brotherhood was "relatively peaceful," "non-violent" and responsible for "charitable works."
One reporter allowed her guest to claim Americans have an irrational fear "of all Islamic groups, including ones that are relatively peaceful, like the Muslim Brotherhood-Brotherhood in Egypt."
The Culture and Media Institute searched for network stories mentioning the Muslim Brotherhood going back to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Since then, ABC, CBS and NBC have mentioned the group in 135 news broadcasts, but disclosed its connection to fundamentalist Islam in only 37 percent of the stories.
In the wake of the Egyptian uprising in January 2011, coverage has only grown worse. The networks mentioned the Muslim Brotherhood in a whopping 85 reports, but only a third of those (32 percent) linked the group to its Islamic fundamentalist roots.
Farrakhan: Jews are pushing the US into war
This guy is nothing but a racist hate-monger.
T.W.
http://www.jpost.com/International/Article.aspx?id=210444
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Jews and Zionists are "trying to push the US into war" and are a cover for Satan, at the group's annual meeting near Chicago on Tuesday.
"President Obama," Farrakhan said, "if you allow the Zionists to push you, to mount a military offensive against Gaddafi and you go in and kill him and his sons as you did with Saddam Hussein and his sons, I'm warning you this is a Libyan problem, let the Libyans solve their problem among themselves." Farrakhan called Muammar Gaddafi "my brother" and "my friend."
He also accused American Zionists of attempting to push Israel into war with Iran, adding that "Zionists dominate the government of the United States of America and her banking system."
One panel at the conference, titled "The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews," claimed that Jews were disproportionately involved in the slave trade and accused them of controlling the media.
"Some of you think that I'm just somebody who's got something out for the Jewish people," Farrakhan said. "You're stupid. Do you think I would waste my time if I did not think it was important for you to know Satan? My job is to pull the cover off of Satan so that he will never deceive you and the people of the world again."
In response, ADL National Director Abe Foxman said: "Anti-Semitism has suffused the Nation of Islam's message, and Farrakhan is the standard bearer and bigot in chief....Perhaps what's more disturbing is that despite his anti-Semitic rants, he has not been made a pariah in his own community. What does it take for him to stop being a pied piper of hatred?"
Islam - the Cloak of Antichrist in Bible Prophecy
Free E-book located HERE
I have read much of this free e-book, and cross- referenced the bible passages (there are many, many Bible references in this book), and have to say, it's very thought provoking.
Is the 12th Imam (the 'Mahdi' that Mahmoud Ahmedinejad constantly references) the Antichrist?
I do not have that answer, but more and more scholars are exploring this possibility.
T.W.
The 12th Imam
Watch this 40 minute video, and begin to understand the mindset the Islamists embrace.
Understand also, there is a huge regional, if not global, Islamic movement afoot, disguised as "revolution", that will rid Islam of the current national regimes, allowing the radical religious elements to take over and impose Sharia Law.
And our President is complicit in this.
"No anti-American sentiment".
CBS News: 'Workers of the Nation Unite' in MoveOn.org-Backed Union Protests
CBS News isn't even trying to camouflage their Communist-sympathizing rhetoric at this point.
I tell you, the Progressive/Socialist Left in this country are becoming bolder by the hour.
T.W.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

At the top of Saturday's CBS Early Show, co-host Russ Mitchell cheered unions protests across the country: "Workers uniting. 50 rallies are planned in 50 states today, as organizers show solidarity with Wisconsin state workers, fighting to preserve their right to collectively bargain for benefits and work conditions."

Introducing the segment later, fellow co-host Rebecca Jarvis noted how the protests were organized by MoveOn.org. Rather than accurately label the organization as left-wing, she simply referred to it as "an advocacy group." In the report that followed, correspondent Cynthia Bowers announced that "workers who are coming to these rallies around the country to support Wisconsin workers are being told to wear those red t-shirts we've become so familiar with." The headline on screen throughout the segment referenced Karl Marx: "Workers of the Nation Unite; 50 State Rallies to Support Union Rights."

Farrakhan: Mideast uprisings will come to US

As if we didn't have enough trouble in this country these days, the good Reverend Farrakhan is up to his neck fomenting unrest among Americans.

I swear, I believe that Farrakhan would like nothing better than to see rioting in the streets of the US.

To "Reverend" Farrakhan;

if this does happen, please, PLEASE lead from the front and not from the podium.

Stand in front of the rioting masses, be a real leader.

Put your own life at risk in defiance of this country that you so obviously hate.

Of course, Mr. Farrakhan will never do that.

Oh, he might place a couple of his ever present bodyguards in the crowd to save face, but he himself would never place himself in harm's way.

He is a sheep in wolf's clothing, a coward and an idiot.

I'll be looking for you right out front, Louis.

Uh, huh.

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan predicted on Sunday that America faces imminent uprisings that mirror those in the Middle East.

"What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt … Libya, in Bahrain … what you see happening there … you'd better prepare because it will be coming to your door," Farrakhan said in a booming voice, thousands of followers cheering in his wake.

Farrakhan also called on President Barack Obama to allow protesters to march, urging the president not to attack innocent people when they do.

The controversial minster spoke to a packed house at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont as part of the 81st annual celebration of Saviours' Day, which marks the birth of the faith's founder, W. Fard Muhammad.

The keynote address, titled "God will send saviours," capped a weekend of workshops focused on health, preparing for natural disasters and unidentified flying objects. The Nation of Islam believes in a UFO called "the wheel" or "the Mother Plane."

Farrakhan has described a 1985 religious experience in which he ascended into a flying saucer and heard the voice of Elijah Muhammad predicting historical events that came to pass.

For about four hours, Farrakhan spoke and jumped from topic to topic, citing religious texts.
He praised Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Farrakhan extolled the virtues of Scientology and its auditing process, which is considered spiritual counseling by its members.

"L. Ron Hubbard is so exceedingly valuable to every Caucasian person on this earth," Farrakhan said.

"… L. Ron Hubbard himself was and is trying to civilize white people and make them better human beings and take away from them their reactive minds … Mr. Hubbard recognized that his people have to be civilized," Farrakhan said to a cheering crowd.

Combat troops to get "gay sensitivity training"-- ON the battlefield!!

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/feb/24/combat-troops-to-get-gay-sensitivity-training/?page=1

First and foremost, allow me to say this;
I could absolutely care less what someone's sexual preferences are, as long as it doesn't affect me or my family.
I have mixed feelings about the ability of these persons to be able to perform their duties in a combat unit in some situations, however.
If a homosexual man goes thru the same EXACT training that the non-homosexual men go thru, and can perform his duties in the same EXACT manner, then it probably wouldn't be that much of a problem.
Those are big "if's" however.

I was in the Service in the early 1980's, and knew that there were a small number of obviously homosexual men in the various units. None of them, however, (that I knew of) were in the direct combat specialties I was involved with-Infantry, Airborne, Rangers, Special Forces.
There is a certain mindset in being one of the types of soldiers mentioned above.
You have got to be able to perform in a combat environment to a high degree of proficiency, every single time, without hesitation, without conscience (that comes later). If you hesitate to act, even for a moment, you or your buddy will die.

If, for instance, a situation calls for you to sneak up on a sentry and kill him with a knife, well, that's just the job you have to do. Many times, you have to shoot a soldier, or group of soldiers with no warning in an ambush.

In the of a firefight, there are situations that would ordinarily call for mercy, that cannot be resolved during the fight, that results in the death or wounding of someone who would very much like to surrender, but due to the fact that other enemies present are still engaged in battle, well, it's very often just too bad for the one who wants to quit. No time for mercy when bullets are flying.
These are only very few examples of the kind of mindset a soldier might have to deal with in the thick of battle. Things that have to be resolved immediately, and without remorse, or else you or your buddies will likely die.

With all that being said, I ask;
How many homosexuals do YOU know that would be able to kill a sentry with a knife?
How many would be able to pull the trigger on an unsuspecting enemy in an ambush without mercy?
Engage in furious hand to hand combat and cut the throat or bash the enemy's head in with the butt of a rifle?

Combat is a very intense, extremely violent, personal struggle. Blood, guts, death.

I have been a Nurse for the past 25 odd years.
In that role, I have known a fair share of homosexual males and females.
I will say this- in my personal opinion, with my previous experience as a soldier, probably 90% of the male homosexuals I have worked with would definitely not be able to function in the type combat units in which I served.
And virtually zero of the females, homosexual or not, could make it thru the training.

I will say it again- as long as the individual can make it thru the training, and function exactly the same as the other members of the team, I would have absolutely no problem with a homosexual, or a female, on my team. AGAIN, a definitely huge "if".
The training can NOT be "adjusted" to fit homosexuals, women, or any other group, just to fit a 'politically correct' agenda.

Doing so will get people killed.

Higher Inflation Is On The Way

Reported inflation is headed higher  — much higher.
The stakes have seldom been higher.  With the unemployment rate still above 9%, and federal debt at record levels, this latest error by the monetary authorities is likely to be the most costly since the Great Inflation of the 1970s.  Monetary instability will slow employment growth and further erode confidence in government at the same time that higher interest rates will add billions of dollars to the interest cost on the national debt.  Yet, failure to act in a timely basis will lead to an even greater crisis.
When it arrives, the Federal Reserve and its defenders will call it “cost-push” inflation and blame it on economic growth, the weather, Arab sheiks, China, and perhaps greedy companies and labor unions.
The actual cause of the looming crisis is the same as the cause of the Great Inflation of the 1970’s:  a too easy monetary policy that has devalued the dollar by 40% against gold during the past two years.

The rest of the article;

Higher Inflation on the way

Here we go--food prices on the increase again

Fed says food prices on the rise

Gas is up about 40 cents/gallon in just the past 3 days in my town.

The only thing not going up is wages.

"A protest in every State Capitol"

Van Jones and cronies are calling for unrest in America.

A Union protest in every State capitol

The sponsors of the protests?

The local Tea Party issued a statement today acknowledging the impending protest in Nashville by the Tennessee Teachers Education Association (TEA) , and is setting up counter-protests by statewide Tea Party chapters.

Bring it on, Van.

This ain't Wisconsin.

Allen West for President

 I absolutely love to listen to this man speak.
He says what he means, and means what he says.

Please forgive me for linking to this ridiculous Progressive website.

T.W.

Allen West for President

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Freshman Republican Rep. Allen West—a rising star in the tea party and conservative movements—may have a grassroots movement to draft him for president brewing in his district. The question came to West in a packed town hall meeting in Pompano Beach Monday night.

“We have a president sitting in the White House right now who hates America,” a woman from the audience said. “Who goes around apologizing for America. We have enemies from within from without. Our time is running out … I’m here to ask you to please consider throwing your hat in the ring in 2012.”

After a sustained standing ovation from the crowd of almost 300, West replied: “This is what you have to understand. I believe that we can’t have leadership by a cult of personality. I have to prove myself. I have to prove myself as a statesman, as a capable legislator. Look—everyone knows how I feel about this country. But there are some things that I have to learn about the machinations of Washington DC, so that I can be an effective leader. Because the last thing I would want--you know, my dad raised me with a great maxim--never read your own press never drink your own tub water. It is very humbling that you would say that … right now my focus is on being a great congressman for the people of South Florida. You know, it’s up to God and it’s up to my wife, so you’ll probably need to ask her.”

It was one highlight of a spirited—and sometimes tense—two hour event. One exchange with an attendee over Islam turned into a shouting match among several constituents at the town hall, and escalated when West shot back, “I’ve been on the battlefield my friend--don’t try to blow sunshine up my butt.” He later apologized.

Libya set to fall to protesters

Another Arab country set to fall--what will Israel do?

No matter what Gaddafi says or does, his regime's days are numbered.
I firmly believe this is only another piece of the puzzle being put in place, that when completed, will result in the total encirclement of Israel by mortal enemies.

I believe we are witnessing the fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy at an alarming rate.
Again, I urge you to study Ezekiel 38-39;

Author Joel Rosenberg has written a good synopsis HERE

Come what may, if you are a Believer, you must agree that we are closer to the End Times than we have ever been.

Once banned Muslim Brotherhood cleric to address throng in Cairo today

So, the people of Egypt wanted rid of the Mubarak regime in the name of "freedom"?

And to hear the Obama Administration (and numerous Progressive activists) version, the revolution in Egypt was to herald a freedom unknown by its people.

Instead, the Muslim Brotherhood is saturating the country with once-banned radical Islamic clerics preaching anti-Semits, anti-Western hatred, with the protection of the so-called "pro-western" Egyptian military.

More "revolution" to follow in the Arab world. We are witnessing the resurgence of a unified, radically Islamic region that will crush the stability created by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and other moderate Arab states.

Yes, this is so much better, isn't it, President Obama?

Offended Mubarak refuses call from Obama

I'm sure Obama placed the call only as some sort of "face-saving" effort.
Once again, the amateurish Obama Administration has chosen poorly.
The "free" people of Egypt are now being inundated with Muslim Brotherhood clerics once outlawed by the Mubarak regime. (article above)

Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak refused to respond to telephone calls from US President Barack Obama becase he still felt offended by Obama's statement in which he called on Mubarak "to step down immediately," London-based Arabic language daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported on Thursday.

Mubarak, still living in "presidential style" in Sharm el-Sheikh, according to the report, refused an invitation from Saudi King Abdullah to come to the kingdom, telling him he preferred to die on Egyptian soil.

The report said that it was not clear if Mubarak had been in contact with Egypt's new military rulers through his former deputy Omar Suleiman.

Unrest spreads in Arab Capitals
